The Squirrel Nut Zippers will present selections from the “The Great American Songbook” – songs that shaped, defined, or defied American music. They will be arranging and performing a diverse range of material, from Duke Ellington to the The Carter Family. That diversity is exactly what has given the Squirrel Nut Zippers their trademark sound. Appalachian Jazz, Southern Mythology, Soul Food and Champaign. The band will of course also be performing its own catalog material. Come hear the songs you know and love and get a glimpse of what shaped them. Sweet Confection.

Come at 7pm and enjoy a free swing dance lesson taught by Firehouse Swing instructor Meeshi Anjali!
