Join Solemar and friends for a night of sizzling heat with it’s all star line up! Solemar Introduces a fresh new talent- Carla Casarim- a bright and shiny new gift to the San Diego Brazilian community. Carla hails from Parana, Brazil and her warm and sunny personality shines though her clear and soulful vocal interpretations of Jorge Ben; Gilberto Gil; Elis Rejina and Chico Buarque. Full of youthful beauty and energy- she sings and dances with a level of confidence and mastery of a pro.
The Solemar band will enjoy the line up of band originals Mark Lamson, drums and percussion; Allan Phillips – key boards and percussion; Kevin Delgado bass and percussion with additional band members Ruben Mello and AB Nevarez on percussion. The Solemar bateria will be performing live batucada and accompanying the Solemar Samba dancers. Additional guests will be Angela Patua on vocals and a Samba dance class and Capoeira demonstration will top off the night of Brazilian music and culture.
