Considered among the very best musicians in Hawaii, Led Kaapana and Mike Kaawa are known for their Hawaiian-style repertoire. Both are nearing 40 years of professional music performances. A Grammy award winner, Kaapana’s mastery of the slack-key guitar, along with his baritone and “leo ki’ek’e” (falsetto) voicea as well as his rascally sense of humor, have made him a favorite of audiences. He has recorded with Alison Krauss, George Winston, Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal. Kaawa is known as Hawaii’s finest 12-string guitar player and his music is considered “Hawaiian with an attitude.”
