The BtS team is taking on a 70+ mile paddle from the mouth of the San Mateo Creek to the mouth of the Tijuana River to launch a multi-agency partnership with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and United States Geological Survey, and to promote Below the Surface’s Streamview phone application, a crowd sourced river mapping tool. Years Around the Sun - A Benefit for Below the Surface Biography
San Diego’s Years Around the Sun is the musical project of Ronnie Dudek and Dylan Raasch. With the release of their second full length album, Incarnation, their sound has evolved into its own amalgamation of the duo’s musical influences and imaginations. Gravitating to a more minimalistic approach to songwriting, YATS relied heavily on lush sounding synthesizers and strong vocal melodies to construct their latest work. Montalban Quintet Biography
The Montalban Quintet is a collective of musicians that have infused interests from various musical barrios including post-punk, minimalism, jazz, 50′s schmaltz, field recordings, and new western art music. We reside in San Diego and have birthed all of the recordings/collaborations at a small recording facility in Encinitas, CA known lovingly as the Belly of the Whale.
