Rogue Wave Biography

"Now we’re born again,” sings Zach Rogue on the closing track of Rogue Wave’s fourth studio album Permalight (2010). Though the dreamy acoustic lament lasts barely a minute, it neatly encompasses the sound and heartfelt spirit that Rogue Wave seeks to emanate on every one of their studio pieces. Currently comprised of founding member Zach Schwartz (a.k.a. Zach Rogue), Pat Spurgeon, Dominic East, and Cameron Jasper, Rogue Wave has been hard at work on the road and in the studio since 2002 to deliver music to fans in their Oakland, CA hometown and around the country. The band's show at the Belly Up on July 21 comes just over a month after the release of their latest album Nightingale Floors (June 2013).

Hey Marseilles Biography

The six-piece orchestral-pop ensemble Hey Marseilles first won hearts across the U.S. with its 2008 debut To Travels and Trunks, an album that revelled in the education and inspiration only globe-trotting exploration can provide. With Matt Bishop's lyrical trends abutting an instrumental palette that embraces traditional folk sounds (including accordion, string, and horn instrumentals), To Travels and Trunks gave musical voice to the universal longing for unfettered freedom. Keeping in line with their development of critically-acclaimed songs, the Seattle-based band unveiled their latest album Lines We Trace earlier this year.
