Veruca Salt

Working with Bob Rock (Metallica) on American Thighs follow-up, Eight Arms To Hold You, Veruca Salt seemed headed in more of a metal direction; the harsh guitar sound and soaring vocals amplified by it’s slick production. After a yearlong tour, rock’s rumor mill took hold, and by early 1998 it was confirmed that Nina Gordon had officially quit the band. In soap opera like drama, Post was seemingly alone in her fight to keep the band going, and quickly picked up the pieces, re-grouping the band around her, and electing to jump ship from Geffen.
Signing a joint-venture deal with Beyond Records, and recruiting Stephen Fitzpatrick on guitar, Suzanne Sokol on bass, and James Madla on drums, Post immersed herself in what she would later call ‘her cathartic rite of passage’
