The Big Sound
The Big Sound started as an idea over the phone in 2002. Jimpy had a drum set and Jakey had a guitar, that he used as a bass. Colin came home from Australia and bought Jake a bass. Colin took Jakes guitar and strummed. Jake , Colin , and Jimpy played thier first show a week later at a dive bar, for the bar tender and a drunk guy. They wanted Chainsaw to be in the band, so they gave him a tambourine, and told him to shake it about. A few months later they realized that Stunt (who lived next door to Jimpy) was really good guitar player. So we beat him over the head with his twinkie into the rehearsal room. Jake saw the Leutenants fingers going ape shit on his organ with his other band, and recruited him right away into The Big Sound. Boogie and Amanda are honorary members of any band that Colin is in. .....and that is how The Big Sound began!
