The history of Modern Rock music and Metal is a little vague for many younger people. Most kids these days grow up listening to Emo and soft core bubble gum pop punk.

This is an opinion of where Testing Tomorrow fits into the styles of today as given by example and comparison to the Rock and Metal Scene of the 1980’s. The hope here is to clarify exactly what is happening in rock music today and showing the main point: Where our music finds its niche.

I start out by saying Grunge Rock, although probably some of the best damn music to ever have been written is dead. It did however leave its mark on the attitude and hearts of musicians and fans. In saying Grunge is dead, I do believe what we are seeing today is a twist on the scene of the 1980’s. Allow me to explain.

Hair Bands: so named because of their use of makeup, teased hair, and oddball costumes. Songs were almost always about sex, drugs, and the supernatural.
