Stratos

Stratos was formed in January of 2008. Consisting of three musicians with extensive musical background. The trio blends funk, jazz, gospel and pop to craft songs that are nothing short of amazing. Lead singer and keyboard player Casey Gee has been involved with music most of his life. His “Stevie Wonder like” playing style has earned him the highest respect among fellow musicians. He has played with numerous bands, and sings soul from the heart like no other. Casey also plays guitar, and co-wrote a song with Switchfoot’s own Jon Foreman which aired on the television series “Dawsons Creek.” Bassist Jeff Bowman has over 25 years of experience in the music and recording industry. Jeff has worked with some of the top names in the San Diego music scene. Drummer Joe Hager has mastered percussion in many styles including, jazz, bluegrass, blues, hip hop, and Brazilian beats. Joe has proven himself to be one of the most sought after drummers from San Diego to L.A. Although the band is still young, Casey and Jeff are no strangers when it comes to working together. The two played in a similar trio called “Crash Carter” which released a full length CD named “Red Buttons Blink” in 2005. Stratos brings plenty of emotion to the songs they write. You might want to dance to one track, then cry to another. All in all, this is one exceptional band to watch for in 2010. Look for a new CD this summer. Thanks for lookin!
