Sara Haze

Following the release of her debut album The Ladder in January 2008 singer-songwriter Sara Haze was invited to perform in Toronto at Canadian Music Week (CMW). At CMW she was joined on stage by Grammy® Award winning producer/songwriter Glen Ballard and Grammy® Award winning writer and producer Mark Hudson. Additional dates followed in Nashville, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, New York with an acoustic showcase at the CMJ offices, Houston for the Microsoft World Partners Convention at the Astrodome and an invitation to play the Popkomm fest in Berlin in October, Europe’s largest artist and industry event. In July 2008, Troy Blakely, Senior Vice President and Managing Partner of APA in Los Angeles signed Sara who will be represented by the company’s Concert Touring Department, for national bookings.
Sara Haze had already amassed a catalogue of songs featured in TV and film by the time she signed with PEN Music Group, Inc. for publishing and licensing representation. PEN’s Michael Eames introduced her to Heather Holley and Rob Hoffman of Elicit Music (Christina Aguilera, Quincy Jones, Sheryl Crow) and Sara recorded three masters with them that ended up on The Ladder. Producer/guitarist Eric Fraley produced several tracks including, “The Big Lie,” “My Addiction,” “The Border” and “Taking Dust From Stars.”
An ASCAP-hosted showcase in Nashville brought Sara to the attention of top pop and country songwriters. In between tour dates she traveled back and forth to Nashville to work with producer/songwriter Steve Diamond, songwriters James Slater, Dean Sams, the team of Greg Bieck and Kris Bergness, and in New York, Phil Galdston and Jeff Franzel.
In addition, Sara started working with Eric Fraley on her co-write with Glen Ballard entitled “Tattooed On Me,” slated as a single release on iTunes.
