Birthed in November 1999, The Rhythm Roots Allstars began as the house band for the Rhythm Room, a sunday night dance club that remained a weekly ritual for years at the Temple Bar in Los Angeles. Combining elements of funk, latin, calypsoul, electro-brazillian, dancehall, afrobeat, etc., this tight ten piece ensemble ignites dance floors with its unique blend of raw yet sophisticated dance music. Loaded with an arsenal of drums and percussion, a full horn section, guitars, bass, steel pans, as well as guest dj’s, mc’s and vocalists, the The Rhythm Roots Allstars creates a huge, celebratory sound all it’s own, firmly rooted in the great groove music we all know and love, while pushing into exciting new musical realms.
