Phenomenon
The story of this band begins way back in 1976 when high school mates Robbin Crosby (Ratt, Mac Meda), Perry McCarty (Steve Stevens Atomic Playboys, Warrior), and Rob Klima (Mac Meda, Aircraft) formed a cover band. They dubbed the group Phenomenon and were soon on their way to becoming local San Diego backyard party legends. The band played kegger after kegger and were by far the premier band within the high school scene. Beer, Whiskey, Quaaludes, Girls ect… were synonymous with the wild Phenomenon gigs. Upon graduation each original Phenomenon member made the move to Hollywood to pursue the Rock N Roll dream. Robbin Crosby and Perry McCarty both had major success leading to both Gold and Platinum album sales…
...Cut to 2005 when a new cover band was being established. Perry and Rob said the only way it was going to happen was if the band would be again dubbed Phenomenon- as a tribute to the late Robbin Crosby, and the memories all the debauchery that they participated in during the 70’s.
Today Phenomenon carries on the tradition of old by playing a high energy set consisting of classic Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, AC DC, KISS, Dio, Scorpions, Deep Purple, Cult, etc…
