Since moving to Southern California from the East Coast my life and singing can be defined by this.
I currently work with a band based in Santa Ana and sing with other creative musicians in the area.
An avid student of music, my inspiration is drawn from great artists of diverse styles; rhythm and blues, soul, roots music, jazz, swing, country and many things in between.
Singing for me is very physical…just like a sport really…and a lot of my training is with my trusty bamboo stick. My vocal instruction was based in martial arts and breathing techniques that allow my voice to flow with power and emotion. Thank you Miss Monk!
I continue to explore many styles of music, and evolve my sound as I go, stretching my skills and creativity with the incredible musicians I collaborate with!
