Lexington began with the want for something to be accomplished. That want was to deliver a rock n roll show that kept people wanting more. Lexington has changed, grown, and learned from years of playing music to give such deliverance. Its founding members, Chris Matetic and Stephen Sebastian grew together in music and wanted more than anything to create the same emotion they felt through the music they listened to. That want for artistry blossomed into a powerhouse of classic rock n roll sound with the tranquility of folk blues. Just like this band is made for playing the stage, Lexington’s four members were made to play together. When these four paths crossed they knew that they had something going. All with similar musical interests and equal passion to play music, they fit together all to well. Chris Matetic, Lexington’s Drummer thrives on quality sound. His musical interest is spread over a wide spectrum ranging from the folk country beats of Ryan Adams to the grungy blues sound of the Black Keys. Hence making him the well-rounded drummer that he is. Knowing when to keep things simple and knowing when to show off his intricate drum fills, Chris always keeps it solid. The backbone of the band is lead guitarist Jared Chesnut. In watching him solo, you realize that he is pouring every ounce of his energy in to each note he plays. Jared empties out a “six shooter” of feeling and energy through his fingertips translating into a glorious sound of guitar tone and musicality. This guitar slinger burns much passion into an in your face solo that leaves you plastered to the back of the wall. Complimenting Jared’s guitar tone is rhythm guitarist and vocalist Stephen Sebastian. With Jared’s guitar playing you get a 6 string course in burning the neck from one end to the other that leaves everybody in awe, while on the opposite side of the wall Stephen comes through with the simplicity of melodic solos you could whistle. The two put together compliment each other perfectly. On vocals, Stephen comes through with a strong voice. Going from singing soft to singing hard, he’ll bring you the melody that will keep you singing after the show is over. With influences ranging the gammit, you’ll find soul, rock and country in all different melodic lines. Holding everybody together is bassist Aaron Appleton. Knowing how to lay it down Aaron knows how to lock in and keep things tight. Coming up with the most creative bass lines, you’ll find that the bass makes the song what it is. Such talent and aptitude comes out of every note that he plays. Together these four make the rock n roll entity that is Lexington. Delivering a definite rock n roll show.
