Kicking K8

Take one part modern rock and one part NY/Chicago attitude with a focus on memorable choruses (ala Disturbed, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Sevendust) and you have KICKING K8. What started out as a jam band around Pacific Beach, Ca. in late 2004 has turned into one of the most sought after live acts to come out of San Diego in some time. National radio airplay and interviews on top modern rock stations such as San Diego’s Rock 105.3, Madison, WI heavyweight WJJO 94.1, Idaho’s Rock K-BEAR, Las Vegas’s KOMP, Phoenix’s KUPD, Chicago’s Rebel Radio, Rockford, Il’s “X”“and appearances on numerous radio fests, (including repeat appearances at WJJO’s BAND CAMP, where they will make an appearance again this year) have introduced the band to the masses. They have been included on the last 3 Jagermeister Music Tours, playing shows alongside the likes of Disturbed, Stone Sour, Staind, Three Days Grace, Slightly Stoopid, HURT and Pepper, and have been added to the latest Jager Music Compilation CD with their single, “Disaster”. The band has played 160 shows in 10 states in 2005-2006 with no label support. In 2007, The NHRA, NASCAR, and AMA Supercross have booked the band for concerts to take part in their events which draw well over 50,000 people a day. In the past 10 months the band has shared the stage with Disturbed (2), Three Days Grace (2), Hinder (2), Hurt (2), Soil, Dope, Buckcherry, Our Lady Peace, Staind (2), POD, Helmet, Stone Sour (2), Lacuna Coil, Shadows Fall, Nonpoint(2), Arch Enemy, Chimaira, Slightly Stoopid (2), Pepper (2), Seether, Crossfade (2), Saliva, Sevendust, Kittie, Finger Eleven, and Gary Hoey. The band also recently filmed multiple appearances for the ESPN racing reality series AMERICAN DRAGSTER, that aired earlier this Summer. On June 1, 2007, KK8 reached their latest milestone, playing their hometown arena with fellow San Diegans P.O D. Thus far the band has played in front of over 500,000 people. Whats next? The band will set out on their own headlining VEGAS FUEL/ WIRED ENERGY/ ETHOS MOTORSPORTS New Music Tour, playing over 45 dates across the US, and have teamed up with indie-Hard Rock powerhouse Corporate Punishment Records, who will distribute the band’s upcoming LP, in stores 10/9/07.
