Kathleen Edwards draws from a mixture of folk and country with major influences from Whiskeytown and Gillian Welch. After the success of her first album, Failer, Edwards and her band began touring extensively and playing arenas opening for Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Edwards, a Canada native, started out by singing and playing her guitar in local clubs and networking with other musicians in the scene.
