Don’t miss a night of tap dancing and rhythm with fabulous raffle prizes, all in support of local fire & rescue workers, in a show called “The Heat is On”! Tap Fever Studios has a non-profit sister company called Tap Fever Salutes which focuses on keeping the arts alive, and supporting the community. They do this by offering scholarships, performing, and lending a hand to other causes. A portion of the proceeds from their performances gets contributed to a variety of charities recommended by Tap Fever’s staff and students.

Proceeds from “The Heat is On” will benefit a local fire & rescue workers. In support of Tap Fever’s efforts, some of San Diego’s finest firefighters and rescue workers will participate in the show while proving that anyone can learn to tap dance, and everyone should!
With this performance, Tap Fever hopes to raise enough money to help San Diego Fire-Rescue Department continue their great work, and give Tap Fever Salutes a chance to continue dancing for the community.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation works closely with the Fire-Rescue Department to identify tools, equipment and technology that have already been researched and approved by the Department. Even though these types of items have been deemed as appropriate and effective, however, the City of San Diego is unable to fund them because they are usually considered an enhancement of service. Unfortunately, the City is typically unable to offer any enhancements of service or improvements to existing technology due to budgetary constraints. The Foundation seeks to rectify that situation by providing the means to introduce or improve tools, equipment and technology that will enable our fire fighters, lifeguards and paramedics to perform their tasks more safely, effectively and efficiently.
