It’s been told that it takes quite a man to stare defeat in the face. Hemorrhaging out of the cold dark jowls of Philadelphia’s harshest alleys, DJ Tommy Coxx did none other than exactly that. Emerging onto the scene like a deafening thunder clap, Eddie was forced to bob and weave his constant struggle with addictions. With a healthy appetite for integrating cheese-steak sandwiches with cocaine, time was of the essence, for Death was undeniably breaking down Tommy’s door. After an all night “cheese ball” bender, Tommy was found convulsing between sticky urinals in a downtown Philly club bathroom. Spectators commented they’d on no account seen so much cocaine and cheese penetrate one man’s body so momentarily. Fortunately, after surviving this 6th and final overdose, Tommy was enlightened. He figured he could take his passion for eighties partying and his troublesome sex addiction, and invest it into the sets he spun. The bi-product of this became so hot, that Tommy hasn’t relapsed since, and now dedicates his craft to touring the U.S. performing the perfect mix of eighties classics, from new wave to rock and roll.
