DJ Lord Nelson

Lord Nelson started out as an idea for a band. I keep an adult journal. I actually keep three of them. Three separate journals. I attempt to separate them. One is life confessions. The other is lyrics, poems, and sound ideas taken from life confessions. The third is supposed to be plots and ploys to conquer the world, reasons to get out of bed in the morning to generate more confessions. The name Lord Nelson had come to me in a dream, In context to the second he was a conflicted figure. Historically Lord Nelson was a british sea captain who had led a committed human life. The connection of dreaming the character and his actual historical existence was spooky. This spoke to me. So Lord Nelson became my way of doing what i was interested in doing.

I am working on recording and remixing right now. Filter Magazine is doing a remix contest with some great tracks i have been working on. I am coming out with a new mix tape toward the end of the month and i am working on getting some out of town dates set up. I also am putting together a live band. I miss playing live music. I saw The Juan Mclean at the Casbah the other night and I was blown away. But yea I would like to travel a bit and keep it fresh. It is an interesting time in history right now, it is a good time to be alive and it is an important time to be following your dreams. So that’s what Im going to be doing.
